Explore programming in an exciting and engaging way!

Join Code Weekend at Vitenparken ! As a science center with a focus on sustainability and technology, we place great emphasis on how programming and technology can be used to understand and solve important societal challenges. We have unique expertise and methodology to make programming fun and accessible to everyone. This weekend we will bring out exciting technological tools that children and adults can explore together.

Our experienced educator Ole Andreas Nordhaug has developed an educational and engaging program for children and young people. Through various activities, participants receive an introduction to basic programming, problem solving and insight into how technology works and can be controlled.

Program for both Saturday and Sunday:

LegoRama
No reason not to find our programmable Lego this time either. Feel the recipes, build and program!

Robot building workshop
For older children who find following a recipe a bit boring, you can delve into more advanced building and programming with the Micro:bit Wonder Kit.

Your friendly art companion
The magical Sisyphus sand rakes have once again found their way to Vitenparken , but this time there is a little fantastic helper ready to help you create beautiful patterns!

Cool bullets
Can you make a rolling robot ball move perfectly around different shapes? Take the challenge and test until you get it right!

Program an adult
Time to let the kids decide where the adults go. Plan well and follow the program to get through the obstacle course!

Algorithm drawing
Follow the secret instructions and see what appears on the paper! Also functions as a drawing station for the little ones.
