Welcome to Easter holidays 2025 at Vitenparken !

At Vitenparken Easter is about more than chocolate eggs and decorations – it's about curiosity, community and sustainable learning!

Through fun and engaging activities, we want to create Easter memories that are both joyful and educational. This year, as is tradition, we have put together a drop-in program packed with creativity, food science, technology and environmental awareness. Here, children can grow their own cress, make Easter decorations and experiment with everything from chocolate to a pancake robot – always with science as their playmate.

All activities are developed with Science Park's core value in mind: creating engagement for sustainability through play and learning. We invite children into a universe where science provides answers to how we can live smarter, greener – and more fun.

Age: Best suited for children 5-12 years old.
Price:
Daily pass: NOK 129 per day per child (including 1 adult). Free for children under 3 years old in the same group.
Full Easter holiday pass: NOK 1000 per child (including 1 adult). Free for children under 3 years old in the same group.
During the Easter holidays we only offer drop-in activities, and unfortunately there is no childcare available. We therefore ask that all children be accompanied by an adult.
Free tickets: We offer free tickets for families in difficult life situations. Send an email to elina@vitenparken.no for a coupon code – no explanation needed.

Monday 14.04

• Blowing and painting eggs : Learn how to blow out eggs and decorate them afterwards.
• Scramble eggs : Make Science Park's scientific scrambled eggs and explore cool ways to fry eggs.

Tuesday 15.04

• Grow cress : Grow your own cress for Easter and decorate the container in true Easter style.
• Easter decorations : Make colorful Easter eggs from thread and balloons.

Wednesday 16.04

• Egg Experiments : Our best experiments with eggs!
• Make Easter Chicks : Make and decorate your own Easter chicks.

Thursday 17.04

• Innovation Easter : Create your very own invention to protect your egg when it falls from a height.
• Paint : Paint Easter figures and stones. Decorate with feathers and other cool materials.

Friday 18.04

• Make your own shopping net : Design and decorate your own shopping net to collect Easter goodies.
• Easter Cookies : Become a scientist for a day and help us bake the perfect cookie.

Saturday 19.04

• Chocolate eggs : We make our own special Easter eggs.
• EggDrop Challenge : Scientifically protect your Easter egg from breaking in a fall.

• Free Easter Egg Hunt 11 am – 2 pm

Sunday 20.04

• Chocolate eggs : We make our own special Easter eggs.
• Egg Experiments : Do the best experiments with eggs!

Monday 21.04

• Making ice cream : How can ice cubes and salt help us make the perfect ice cream?
• Pancake Robot : Make pancakes using a robot!
  

Please note that the activities taking place in Matlab may involve some waiting time. Guests are welcome to take the opportunity to participate in activities in our waiting area.

Food and drink: At Andedammen café and restaurant you will find delicious, freshly baked goods, quality barista drinks from latte to matcha, tasty drinks, sandwiches, smoothies and more. For children we offer sausages, waffles and toast. On weekends, when we have science weekends or other large events, the kitchen is open with a limited selection of à la carte dishes. Ask the waiter on site to see the weekend menu.
