10 tips for a successful event

Whether you are holding a seminar, conference, course, meeting, wedding, confirmation or company party, there are a number of things you should keep in mind to have a successful event.

  1. Set up a budget for the event . It will be easier to know what you have in mind and the dialogue with the venue will be easier when everyone knows what budget to work with.
  2. Set the date and time as early as possible . This way, guests can mark the date on their calendar and you avoid the rush method during planning.
  3. Should there be registration? Payment? If you don't have the opportunity to manage this yourself, then perhaps there is something the arena can assist with ( spoiler : Vitenparken can manage both registrations and payment of tickets.)
  4. Find the perfect venue. Maybe take a tour?
  5. Think about what you will eat and drink.
  6. Create a schedule . This will help the event run smoothly. A bonus is that presenters and speakers have a framework to work with, so things don't get out of hand. Also remember to include enough breaks.
  7. Who will be your technician? Make sure you have a contact person responsible for all the technical aspects. Nothing is more frustrating than a technician not working during an event.
  8. Is there room for some entertainment? It doesn't take much for the event to take on a lighter tone with awake and engaged participants.
  9. Is there anything you will be handing out when the guests arrive? Program, participant lists, name tags? Maybe the arena can help you produce this ( spoiler : Vitenparken can produce this for you).
  10. It's better to ask one question too many than one too few! Keep a close dialogue with the arena and make sure you know who to contact if you have any questions during the event.
