What is Talent Center sustainability?
Talentsenteret ved Vitenparken er et av landets seks talentsentre i realfag. Du kan lese mer om ordninga her.
Talent Center Sustainability is an academic and social meeting place for students who are particularly interested in science. With us, students are given academic challenges, and learn about science, technology and sustainable development through exploration and in-depth study of real-world issues. The offer is for students from 7th grade to VGS.
Talent Center Sustainability is for students with great learning potential in science. These are both students who perform at a high academic level, and students who have the potential to do so. You can read more about students with great learning potential here . Like all other students, students with great learning potential are completely different, but often have some common characteristics:
- Want to know why things are the way they are
- Likes to learn new things
- Are curious about the world around them
- Learns quickly and can get bored with routine work
- Likes to explore and delve into things
- Think it can be difficult to find peers who have the same interests

Teacher training:
The Talent Center at Vitenparken offers teacher training courses on students with high learning potential for schools in the region. This involves us traveling to schools to talk about the talent center's academic foundation and students with high learning potential. We will talk about identifying students with high learning potential, mapping the types of students that these students tend to fall into, and how to adapt teaching to the students. Teacher training courses can be added to the school's common time and can last 45-90 minutes, depending on what suits the school best.
