- History of agricultural science
The most important task of VV is the project The History of Agricultural Sciences, which we run for Vitenparken . NMBU annually provides NOK 500,000 to the project. Arne Oddvar Skjelvåg and Per Harald Grue have the main responsibility for the project. Since 2015, we have had work on the history of science underway in five of the departments at NMBU. The department management participates in the work together with many of our members.
- Wikipedia
Wikipedia is the most important information channel for scientific material to the general public. Wikipedia is the channel that the media, schoolchildren and others use. In inquiries to the Friends of the Science Park, it was emphasized that material of a scientific and scientific history nature from Campus Ås was modestly represented on Wikipedia. This led to the institution in general and what Campus Ås stood for being poorly profiled in Norwegian society. In 2016, the Wikipedia project was therefore started in collaboration with the Institute of Plant Sciences, in which about ten people participated with Anders Heen as project manager.
