Welcome to a tour of the University Park in Ås
Vitenparken can offer your group a pleasant walk with a tour of one of Norway's most beautiful parks.
Past and future
We look at the history of Norway's first agricultural college, later a university, and the role this institution played in the modernization of Norway, from the 1850s to the present day. Today, the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU) is in the midst of a major expansion process. We take a closer look at the expansion, which will cost over NOK 7 billion and will be completed in 2019.
Garden and art walk
We will also look at monumental architecture and a beautiful neoclassical garden with many interesting trees and plantings. We can also have our own art walk in the newly restored Ur building, with many interesting modern artworks adapted to the building.
Time and prices
Tours take about 1 hour, price 2200,- including VAT for a group, max 30 people at a time. After 4:00 PM and on weekends, there is an additional opening fee of 500,- (afternoon) and 1000,- (weekend).
