Design and create your own unique insect!
The insects found in nature are incredibly cool animals, but can you imagine an even cooler one? A swimming butterfly or a flying beetle larva with a thousand legs? Only your imagination sets the limits (almost, insects are supposed to have exactly six legs).
While your creativity and joy of creation are unleashed, you will learn about the most successful animal group on Earth (¾ of all animals in the world are insects). You will learn a little about the diversity of insects and how they have evolved to become so numerous and so varied. In other words, this program will give you butterflies in your stomach (metaphorically speaking)!
Knowledge about insects is important for understanding the vital services they perform for us, other living beings, and how best to facilitate their survival. Among other things, insects are important decomposers in nature, and much of the food we eat must be pollinated by them.
Sunday's leisure activity at Vitenparken suitable for everyone and takes place between 12-15. It is recommended that you set aside between 20 minutes and one hour for the program. The program takes place downstairs in the exhibition at Vitenparken .
The activity costs NOK 100 (guardians accompanying the children do not need a ticket)
You can buy tickets on the website or in the café when you arrive.
We have an open café on Saturdays and Sundays. In the café you can buy all kinds of coffee, tea, cocoa, and spreads and other baked goods.
