Geographical science weekend with the Flagman

Under the auspices of the International Day of Vexillology – the study of flags – presenter Frederic Lindboe, also known as the Flag Man, invites you to a fun program filled with exciting activities for the whole family!

The study of flags provides us with an exciting opportunity to explore the identity, history and values of nations through their symbols. The flag bearer, Frederic Lindboe, will guide us through an educational and entertaining program, where both young and old can learn about the meaning of flags in a fun and engaging way. With activities that inspire both curiosity and reflection, we will explore why flags are important in history, culture, art and design, diplomacy, social awareness and global communication.

In addition to flag studies, we will also delve into the world of technology through micro:bit projects, make pancakes shaped like flags using a robot, and test our knowledge of geography.

Frederic, also known as Forsker-Frederic , has many talents and a great passion for vexillology (the study of flags). He has designed his own flag and the official flag of the Forest Finns , together with his wife Bettina. He was also recently interviewed on the podcast 198 land with Einar Tørnquist to talk about Flag Day.”
