Tretur: parkvandring i Norges vakreste universitetspark + lunsjbuffé
Vi feirer 100-årsjubileet for parkplanen, utformet av Norges første professor i landskapsarkitektur, Olav Leif Moen. Dette er en sjelden anledning til å utforske de majestetiske gamle trærne som har stått her i generasjoner.
Campus Ås is not only known for its impressive architecture and rich history, but also for its magnificent park and unique collection of trees. The park extends over 500 acres and has roots back to the 1870s, when an arboretum – a scientific collection of trees and shrubs – was established. Today, the park consists of around 1,100 different species and cultivars of trees and shrubs, in addition to an extensive collection of annuals and perennials. On NMBU's property you will also find the Nordskogen Arboretum, with a variety of Norwegian and foreign forest trees.
NMBU's own arborist, Jeroen Scheepmaker, will take you on a two-hour guided tour through the park, where you will learn about the park's history, the diverse plant life and how we care for this national treasure. After the tour, we invite you to a delicious lunch at Vitenparken .
