Wedding

Are you getting married? Or do you know someone who is getting married and hasn't found the "perfect place" yet? Here at Vitenparken , in one of Norway's most beautiful parks, we are happy to hold your wedding party. Perhaps you could also imagine a wedding under the tun tree or in front of the duck pond? - the possibilities are many. Among tall trees, water lilies, ducks and art, the romantic, white-painted building rises and invites you to celebrate life's big occasions. Many have gotten married here, surrounded by summer green or autumn yellow trees, followed by a nice and specially adapted wedding party.

From May until well into August, it is very popular to hold weddings, confirmations, baptisms and other celebrations with us, and dates are often booked well in advance. It is also possible to arrange winter, spring and autumn weddings with us. 

Wedding menu

Our chef Willy-Jann Alegria-Johnsen has developed a corporate menu based on sustainable, locally sourced food with the very best ingredients, and not least with a focus on exquisite flavors, without it being too expensive. Willy has a background as, among other things, C hef de partie at Bristol in Oslo and as chef at Bolkesjø hotel. He has also cooked for the entire royal family on several occasions, so you can be sure that your guests will be talking about the food for a long time afterwards. A little fun fact and to note that Willy is also a graduated professional bodyguard – so you know. We have two different menus for weddings; menu package 1 and menu package 2 .

About Vitenparken

When it comes to weddings, we are flexible. The most important thing for us is that the bride and groom have a memorable and beautiful day. Vitenparken has several rooms with different capacities. The largest room can accommodate 150 guests. There is a large sound and video system, lighting that delivers everything from a romantic atmosphere to a full disco and good opportunities for personal decoration and embellishment. A smaller alternative is the cozy Kornrommet, which accommodates 60 guests. The room the bride and groom choose is decorated and decorated according to their wishes. Ideally, we set aside time for the bride and groom to decorate themselves the day before because we know how important it is that everything feels right on this day.

With the beautiful Andedammen pond right outside, it's no wonder many people want to celebrate life's small and big events there. Vitenparken and at NMBU Park – one of Norway's most beautiful parks. Depending on the season, we can arrange for outdoor and indoor celebrations. We have extensive experience with both birthday parties, confirmations, baptisms and other gatherings, but capacity is limited, so please check early to see if your date is available.
