How can knowledge of biotechnology help solve a crime mystery?
A researcher at NMBU has been found murdered on Campus. We need your help to find the murderer. The students must thoroughly investigate and analyze several clues in the case. Among other things, they must compare DNA from hair with DNA from four suspects observed at the scene around the time of the murder.
In the laboratory in the Biotechnology Building, students are introduced to what DNA is, a general introduction to forensic science, and they get to try out molecular methods used in forensic medicine, such as running gel electrophoresis.
All upper secondary classes that book tuition through us are also offered an orientation about the various study options available at NMBU by skilled ambassador students who also answer questions about general student life at NMBU.
Competency goals
