Train your sense of soil
“Earth Sense” explores our relationship with the earth and aims to help us reconnect with it. Maria Viftrup has designed a unique Earth Sense training center where visitors can get up close to the earth and understand its essential role in our ecosystem. Earth is not only the foundation of life on earth, but also a historical archive and a necessity for the future.
The exhibition raises important questions:
– Do humans have a sense of earth, or can we develop one?
– How can we train this 'Sense of Earth'?
Through an interactive experience, visitors of all ages can participate and discover the answers to these questions.
The exhibition includes contributions from 30 Nordic scientists, artists and farmers, and provides a comprehensive insight into the importance of the earth. This interdisciplinary collaboration ensures a rich and varied experience that combines art, science and practical knowledge.
Discover NOBA and Vitenparken
Norwegian BioArt Arena (NOBA) is the art department at Vitenparken Campus Ås. As Norway's first permanent arena for bioart, NOBA has established itself as a hub for art, research-based knowledge, critical thinking and new technology. Our vision is to stimulate increased awareness of the environment, biology and sustainability. NOBA is located at Vitenparken , a center that combines technology, food and research for a diverse audience, on the university campus, Campus Ås.
