Sci-Fly is an interactive show for children and adults, and is about the insects we live side by side with. The insects that swarm in the dewdrops of the overripe fruit in the kitchen, that make secret tunnels in an eternal darkness, entangled in a forest of threads. They are the insects with the bad reputation, but which we also cannot live without. In the show you meet a host who has made some very special discoveries that they want to share with the outside world.

With Sci-Fly, the performing arts company Øy and Vitenparken for a fun and strange discovery tour in the lush landscape nearby Vitenparken . The children themselves become involved in exploring the performance, which actively engages both the imagination and the senses. Recommended for children from 5 years and up.

The performance includes entrance to the Science Park exhibition where you can play and experience, among other things, the Roaring Panther, the Pizza Train and become a FarmHero. The visit can also be combined with a visit to Andedammen café and restaurant which is open every day, and a walk in perhaps Norway's finest park .

The performance Sci-Fly is a collaboration between Øy and NOBA (Norwegian BioArt Arena), part of Vitenparken at Ås. The performance originated at the intersection of performing arts and entomology – the science of insects and is inspired by the book Planet of the Insects (2018) by author and biologist Anne Sverdrup Thygeson.

The performance is produced by Øy in collaboration with scenographer Maria Wang Kvalheim (NO), artist/researcher Monika Żak (PL), actor Mari Pitkäen (FI) and costume designer Cecilio Orozco Martínez (MX) under the direction of producer for Øy and scenographer Hazel Barstow (NO).
