Spring is here and nature is awakening!
What could be better than spending the weekend exploring all the cool critters with... Vitenparken ?
Here you can take part in activities such as building your own fantasy insect, nature bingo in the park, and other fun crawling activities.

Program:
Saturday – Daily program:
10 am-3 pm
All day (Drop-in): We decorate insects. Join the Science Hosts and decorate beautiful insect models. Here we let our imagination run wild!
Kl.10.00-11.30: Vitenparken Ansetter Insekter. Visste du at insekter gjør mange viktige oppgave på vegne av oss mennesker? Bli med når Vitenparken ansetter ny “vakthund” til kjøkkenhagen.
12:30-2:00 PM: Explore cool creatures that live in the water of the Duck Pond. We find species that live in the water of the Duck Pond and study them under a magnifying glass. Dedicated science hosts help!
2:00 PM-3:00 PM: Stein Ivar's creep visits Vitenparken Say hello to some exotic critters as we look at the insects we've collected during the day through magnifying glasses.
Sunday – Daily program:
10 am-3 pm
All day (drop-in): Make your own hop box
10:00-12:30: Explore cool creatures that live on campus. We find insects and creatures that live in the NMBU park. We lift rocks, rake bushes, wade in puddles, and shake trees to explore the diversity. Afterwards, we study them under a magnifying glass. Committed science hosts will help! Meet at 10:00 and depart for a shared tour of campus at 10:15.
1:30 PM-3:00 PM: Say hello to some cool critters! The Norwegian Herpetological Society will be exhibiting snakes, tarantulas and other exotic animals. We'll also take a look at today's catch from the park under the magnifying glass at Vitenparken . Watch and learn!
Sunday 19:00-22:00, Bat Night:
Join the Norwegian Zoological Society and bat researcher Reed McKay on a bat walk. We will gather inside Vitenparken to learn a little about bats and how we research the winged mammals, before we head out onto NMBU's campus with bat detectors and ears on point.
! Our exhibition, Vitenverden, is currently under development so there will be installations that do not work. We apologize for the inconvenience.
