What better day to celebrate Fascination of Plants Day than to explore events at Campus Ås?
Fascination of Plants Day will take place around May 18, 2024, and is coordinated by the European Plant Science Organization (EPSO), but this year various organizations at Campus Ås came up with the events on May 15.

This year's Fascination of Plants Day will be held on May 15th at NMBU.
Our students are growing plants for sale that day, in the course PJH251 "Production of flower and vegetable seedlings in greenhouses."
Among the plants we have for sale this year we can mention: Many varieties of tomato and chili, physalis, various vegetable plants and spices.
In addition, several types of summer flowers and some perennials.

Presenters condense their research into 20 slides, each lasting just 20 seconds, promising a dynamic and informative experience.
Participants can expect to not only learn something new, but also enjoy laughter and fellowship with friends and colleagues during breaks. Vitenparken is one of the few places certified to host PechaKucha events in Norway, specializing in academic topics.

– Tour of Korsmo's modernized weed garden by Ingeborg Klingen, department head/research manager for pests and weeds in forests, soil and horticulture (NIBIO)
– Strawberry evolution from diploid to octoploid and breeding by May Bente Brurberg, senior researcher in molecular plant biology (NIBIO) and professor of plant pathology (NMBU)
– CrispR technology by Tage Thorstensen, researcher in molecular plant biology (NIBIO) and managing director (AgriBiotix)
– Spruce vaccination by Melissa Magerøy, researcher in molecular plant biology (NIBIO)
