Meltdown 8th-10th grade
What physical principles drive global warming? How do we use these principles in society? In this teaching program, students are given a challenge to solve before time runs out! Knowledge of energy, chemistry and the environment is put to the test. Which of the groups solves their challenge best?
Following the challenge, some of the principles will be discussed and assessed on their own. What consequences do light and dark and surfaces have for global warming? How do you best insulate your houses against the cold, and facilitate energy-saving measures? Which energy resources are renewable and what is a good idea to invest in in the future? The teaching offer draws knowledge from several different fields and is a practical and interdisciplinary teaching offer where students get several relevant pegs to build further knowledge on later. Thus, a great introduction that you as a teacher can benefit from in your teaching.
