Look into the invisible – teacher-led activity in the exhibition

Free

Up to 30 students

90 minutes

Vitenparken is a knowledge and experience center for food, environment and climate. We want to contribute to releasing green knowledge, creating interest in science and highlighting research that benefits society.

In the exhibition “Look into the Invisible”, we invite students to share our fascination with seeing the world “through the eyes of scientists”. The exhibition shows examples of the various techniques of science, which give us knowledge about what is otherwise invisible to the human eye. Using visualization technology, we can observe extreme magnifications, surveillance images from satellites and drones, and images taken with wavelengths outside the human visual spectrum.

The teaching program is developed so that teachers can implement it themselves with a group of students.

It is recommended to divide the students into groups of 2-3 in advance. The students are challenged to understand what the different projects are about. By studying the pictures and exploring the installations, as well as finding information in the catalog - the students should be able to present different research projects to the rest of the group. Both the pictures on the wall and all the installations in the exhibition can be placed in a context about sustainability. Can the student groups capture the essence and communicate it?

Students get a glimpse into the world of science and perhaps they will be inspired to study further at university level.

Reserve a time using the form below. An educator will meet you and your class upon arrival and give you an introduction to the program.
