Post 10: Climate Dilemma

Are there any natural ecosystems that consist of monocultures?

What do you think?

Monocultures obviously have their advantages, which is why they are used so much. Among other things, it is easier to both sow and harvest large areas when they only contain one type of plant. This makes large-scale farming possible. The advantage of polycultures is that they can utilize the area and the industry more efficiently, and there can be fewer problems with pests. At the same time, they are much more labor-intensive to grow and harvest.

The last dilemma is not an easy one, but it is nevertheless important to think about. We wonder what you as farmers think about the topic?
