Teaching trails

There are three different teaching tracks. There are 10 posts with practical and theoretical tasks in each track. For the practical tasks, the students use small physical installations and analog games, and for the theoretical tasks, we have developed dilemmas that the students must discuss among themselves and decide on. The teaching tracks are based on three different scenarios; Stopping seed imports, loss of biodiversity, and climate change.

Stop seed imports

A virus spreads through seeds and puts a stop to European seed trade – where do various vegetables and grains actually come from, and what genetic resources do we have available in the Nordic plant heritage?

Go to the trail Stop in seed import .

Loss of biodiversity

Pollinating insects, beneficial wildlife and wild relatives of vegetables and grains support agriculture – which species are important for the future and how can we prevent the loss of more species?

Go to the Biodiversity Loss trail .

Climate adaptation in agriculture

The season can offer both extreme drought and prolonged rain – which varieties have the characteristics needed to adapt to climate change and how can we ensure harvests in an uncertain climate?

Go to the Climate Change trail .
