Food in Action — Building Relationships Between Field and Fork: Workshop by the Agroecology group and students, Department of Plant Sciences, NMBU

Join us for a dynamic and hands-on workshop exploring how agroecology can drive real, tangible transformation across landscapes, food systems, and public procurement.

Workshop for the project: Agroecological food system LIving labs for Farm and landscape Transformation (LIFT)
Date: November 20, 2025
Venue: Kornrommet, Vitenparken
Entrance: Free and open for everyone
Organized by: The Agroecology group and students, Department of Plant Sciences, NMBU

The LIFT project (Agroecological food system LIving labs for Farm and landscape Transformation) responds to the urgent need for more sustainable and resilient food systems. Leveraging a food systems approach, LIFT focuses on regional, seasonal, agroecological food, with public procurement as a key driver for change.

At the core of the project are transdisciplinary, participatory, and action-oriented Living Labs (LLs). These Living Labs bring together diverse actors — farmers, researchers, students, municipalities, and stakeholders — to co-identify challenges, explore solutions, and implement innovations in real-world contexts.

During this workshop, you will:

  • Hear presentations from MSc Agroecology students on their project work

  • Participate in an interactive session to generate ideas for improvement

  • Discuss implications and next steps for agroecological transformation

  • Enjoy a meal prepared with seasonal ingredients
